Megan Orr-Murphy
Megan Orr-Murphy, M.Ed, LPC, completed her undergraduate studies at Appalachian State University in Interpersonal and Organizational Communication, and received her Master’s degree in Counseling from Western Carolina University. She began her career as a school counselor in both elementary and middle school settings.
Shannon Brewer, MA, LPA
Shannon Brewer is a Master’s Level Psychologist , whom has been in practice for over 23 years in the mental health field. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan and her Master’s in Clinical Psychology at The University of Hartford in West Hartford, Connecticut.
Ann Bowen, PhD., LMFT, LCMHC, NCC
Ann is a licensed therapist for individuals, couples and families. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), she works with couples in marriage counseling, conflict resolution, marriage and family communication skills, and relationship challenges. Ann also works with families on parenting skills, ADHD within the family unit, blended families, and life transitions. As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC), she works with individuals in anger and stress management, anxiety, depression, grief, identity development, and spiritual issues. Additionally, she is certified in Prepare/EnrichTM, GriefShareTM, and InStepTMSingle Parenting and Stepfamilies, and has supplementary training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
Laura Skinner, Ph.D.
Dr. Skinner’s education includes a BS in Biology from VA Tech, and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. She completed her internship at the VA Hospital in San Antonio. She has been in private practice in the Lake Norman area since 1997, providing individual, marital, and family therapy as well as performing psychological evaluations. She draws from a variety of treatment approaches and philosophical orientations, to develop the best individualized plan for her patients. She works from the premise that the therapeutic relationship is paramount in helping her patients and facilitating their healing and growth.
